Welcome to Plantoost! Our mission is to empower educational content creators and seekers to optimize teaching and learning happiness, which we are accomplishing by building an ecosystem for anyone, anywhere to create and share educational resources (authors) and to enroll in these educational resources to learn (students). When you visit, view, use, or access our website Plantoost.com, and any applicable subdomains thereof, or any applications, mobile apps, functionalities, content, materials, or other online services provided by Plantoost (collectively, the “Site”), whether as a guest or a registered user, you’re agreeing to the following terms and conditions, so please take a few minutes to read over the Terms of Use below.

If you publish content on the Plantoost platform, you must also agree to the Author Agreement. We also provide details regarding our processing of personal data of our students and authors in our Privacy Policy.

If you live in the United States or Canada, by agreeing to these Terms, you agree to resolve disputes with Plantoost through binding arbitration (with very limited exceptions, not in court), and you waive certain rights to participate in class actions.


1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing Plantoost. We hope you have a blast learning from the range of tutorials, courses, workshops, and more available on the platform. By signing up or otherwise using the Plantoost service, websites, and software applications (together, the “Plantoost Service” or “Service”), or accessing any material or content that is made available by Plantoost through the Service (the “Content”) you are entering into a binding contract with Plantoost LLC.

We appreciate you taking the time to read and understand these terms because they govern your use of our sites and set out your rights and obligations.

If you can’t, or don’t want to, accept these terms, then we’re sorry but you must exit Plantoost immediately.


2. Accounts

You need a Plantoost account (“Account”) for most activities on our platform, including to purchase and enroll in a class or to submit content for publication. When creating an Account, you must provide us with accurate and complete registration information as prompted. You must promptly notify us if any of this information changes. If you fail to provide or update this information, we may suspend or terminate your right to access the Service, including suspending or terminating your Account. Keep your password somewhere safe, because you’re responsible for all activity associated with your account. If you suspect someone else is using your account, let us know by contacting Plantoost Support. You must have reached the age of consent for online services in your country to use Plantoost.

Generally, you need to be 16 years or over to browse the Plantoost sites. Plantoost do not knowingly collect any information from anyone aged 16 or under. You need to be 18 years or over to sign up for a Plantoost account. If you’re under 18 you will need to be under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years of age, and this adult will be responsible for all your activities.

You may not transfer your account to someone else or use someone else’s account without their permission. If you contact us to request access to an account, we will not grant you such access unless you can provide us the login credential information for that account. In the event of the death of a user, the account of that user will be closed. If you share your account login credential with someone else, you are responsible for what happens with your account and Plantoost will not intervene in disputes between students or authors who have shared account login credentials. You must notify us immediately upon find out that someone else may be using your account without your permission by contacting Plantoost Support. We may request some information from you to confirm that you are indeed the owner of your account. You can terminate your account at any time. Check our Privacy Policy to see what happens when you terminate your account.


3. Platform Use

To access the Service, you may be asked to provide certain account information and other details. This account information helps us to create and maintain a Plantoost account for you, which is necessary for providing you the content and customer service that comes with the Service; as such, it is a condition of your use of the Service that all account information you provide is correct, current, and complete. You agree that all account information you provide is governed by our Privacy Policy and you consent to all actions we take with respect to your information consistent with our Privacy Policy. With regard to your username, password, any other piece of information you provide to us as part of our security procedures (collectively, “Account Information”), you agree to treat such Account Information as confidential, and you must not disclose it to any other person or entity.

You also acknowledge that your Account Information is personal to you, and you agree not to provide any other person with access to the Service using your Account Information. You agree to notify us immediately (support@plantoost.com) of any unauthorized access to or use of your Account Information or any other breach of security that you become aware of. You should use particular caution when accessing your account from a public or shared computer so that others are not able to view or record your Account Information or other personal information. Except as provided herein, you may not transfer your Account Information to any other person and you may not use anyone else’s Account Information or account at any time.

In cases where you have nevertheless authorized or registered another person to use your account, or where you have acted negligently in safeguarding your Account Information as set forth above, you agree you are fully responsible for (i) the acts and omissions of such person accessing the Service with your Account Information, (ii) controlling the person’s access to and use of the Service, and (iii) the consequences of any use or misuse by such person.


4. Purchased Content and Access

When you purchase a Plantoost content (course/workshop/tutorial/eBook), you get a license from us to view it via the Plantoost Service and no other use. You are not allowed to transfer or resell contents in any way. The license is granted to you on a lifetime basis, except when we must disable the course because of legal, fraudulent or policy reasons.

Under our Author Agreement, when authors publish content on Plantoost, they grant Plantoost a license to offer a license to the product to learners. This means that we have the right to sublicense the product to the students who enroll in the content. As a student, when you enroll in a content, whether it’s a free or paid content, you are getting from Plantoost a license to view the content via the Plantoost platform and Services, and Plantoost is the licensor of record. Contents are licensed, and not sold, to you. This license does not give you any right to resell the content in any way shape or form (including by sharing account information with a purchaser or illegally downloading the content and sharing it on sites not owned by Plantoost).

Plantoost grants you (as a student) a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the courses and associated content for which you have paid all required fees, solely for your personal, non-commercial, educational purposes through the Service, in accordance with these Terms and any conditions or feature of our Services. All other uses are not allowed. You must not reproduce, redistribute, assign, transmit, sell, broadcast, rent, share, lend, modify, adapt, edit, create derivative works of, sublicense, or otherwise transfer or use any content unless we give you explicit consent to do so in a written agreement signed by an authorized Plantoost representative.

Lifetime access as stated in the license are provided to users who purchase a one-time fee for lifetime access to the content. However, we reserve the right to revoke any license to access and use content at any point in time in the event where we decide or are obligated to disable access to a content due to legal, fraudulent or policy reasons, The lifetime access is not applicable to add-on features and services associated with a content, for example transcript of videos may be disabled by authors at any time, and an author may decide at any time to no longer provide teaching assistance or Q&A services in association with a content.


5. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of Plantoost products (non-tangible digital goods), it is not possible to "return" the content therefore we DO NOT offer refund or exchange after purchase is made. If you are having any issue with the file, trouble setup, or have any questions, please submit a support ticket, we will be happy to help resolve the problem.


6. Subscription Cancellation

You will be charged in advance of your payment period until your membership is cancelled together with additional transaction based charges. Annual subscriptions will renew on the one-year anniversary of the start of your current annual membership term and will be effective for an additional year-long term unless cancelled prior to renewal. Monthly subscriptions will renew on the one-month anniversary of the start of your current monthly subscription term and will be effective for an additional month-long term unless cancelled prior to renewal.

Details of charges are shown within the sign-up process. All charges are in US Dollars. Any reduction in the applicable subscription price (for example, where you downgrade to a lower-priced package or reduce the number of users on your account) will take effect in your next subscription payment period following notification. Any increase in the applicable subscription price (for example, where you upgrade your package) will take effect from the date of notification (so that a pro-rata payment shall be made for the remainder of the current payment period, with the full payment to be made from the beginning of the following plan period).

Your subscription period begins on the date on which you register for the Services and finishes on the day before that calendar date the following period. Should you object to any of these Terms and Conditions, or any subsequent changes to them, or become dissatisfied with this Website in any way, your only recourse is to immediately discontinue to access or use this Website.

You may notify us of your wish to cancel your membership at any time at https://plantoost.com/settings/account, but your cancellation will not take effect until the end of your current commitment period (which may be either a yearly or a monthly period). You will not be entitled to a refund for any membership fee already paid.


7. Payments & Credits

You agree to pay the fees for content that you purchase, and you authorize us to charge your debit or credit card or process other means of payment (such as PayPal, or mobile wallet) for those fees.

When you make a purchase, you agree not to use an invalid or unauthorized payment method. If your payment method fails and you still get access to the content you purchased, you agree to pay us the corresponding fees within thirty (30) days of notification from us. We reserve the right to disable access to any content for which we have not received adequate payments.

There are occasional situations where we may issue credits to your account. These credits will be automatically applied towards your next content purchase on Plantoost.


8. Links

Plantoost has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its web site and is not responsible for the content of any such linked web site. The inclusion of any link does not imply any endorsement by Plantoost of the linked web site. Use of any such linked web site is at your own risk.


9. Content and Behavior Rules

You can only use Plantoost for lawful purposes. You’re responsible for all the content that you post on our platform. You should keep the questions, reviews, and other content you upload in line with the law, and respect the intellectual property rights of others. Your account may be banned for repeated or major offenses. Your use of the Services and behavior on our platform must comply with applicable local or national laws or regulations of your country.

You are solely responsible for the knowledge of and compliance with such laws and regulations that are applicable to you. You may not access our Services if you are from a territory where U.S. businesses are prohibited from engaging in business (such as Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, or Syria) or if you have been designated a Specially Designated National, Denied Person, or Denied Entity by the U.S. government.

If you are a student, the Services enable you to ask questions to the authors of purchased content, and to post reviews of content. If you are an author, you can submit content for publication on the platform and you can also communicate with the learners who have purchased your content. In both cases, you must abide by the law and respect the rights of others. You are solely responsible for any content, and actions you post or take via the platform and Services and their consequences.


10. Plantoost’s Rights to Content You Create

You retain ownership of content you post to our platform. We’re allowed to share your content to anyone through any media, including promoting it via advertising on other websites.

The content you post as a learner or teacher remains yours. By creating content, you allow Plantoost to reuse and share it without losing any ownership rights you may have over your content. When you post comments, questions, reviews, and when you submit to us ideas and suggestions for new features or improvements, you authorize Plantoost to use and share this content with anyone, distribute it and promote it on any platform and in any media, and to make modifications or edits to it as we see fit.

In legal terms, by submitting or creating content on or through the platforms, you grant Plantoost a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display, and distribute your content in any and all media or distribution methods (existing now or later developed). This includes making your content available to other companies, organizations, or individuals who partner with Plantoost for the syndication, broadcast, distribution, or publication of content on other media. You represent and warrant that you have all the rights, power, and authority necessary to authorize us to use any content that you submit. You also agree to all such uses of your content with no compensation paid to you.


11. Site Terms of Use Modifications

Plantoost.com may revise these Terms and Conditions of Use at any time without notice. By using this web site you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these Terms and Conditions of Use.


12. Governing Law

Any claim relating to Plantoost Services shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois without regard to its conflict of law provisions.


13. Amendment to these Terms and Conditions

Plantoost reserves the right to amend and alter these Terms and Conditions and any Materials or information contained on the Website at any time. In the event these Terms and Conditions are altered Plantoost will post the amended Terms and Conditions on this Website. Changes will apply from the date of posting.

If after the Terms and Conditions and/or the Privacy Policy have been amended or altered you do not agree to their terms, you must stop using this Website.
